Another day of baseball in the books. See how the teams and prospects performed in their games last night.
AAA: Fresno Grizzlies (29-32) won 9-2 (BOX SCORE)
Martinez got the start last night for Fresno and was great going 7 innings allowing 1 unearned run. He has allowed just 1 earned run over his last 20.2 innings pitched. Fresno got their first run in the 2nd inning on an RBI groundout from Garcia. They would add 4 more runs in the 5th on a Kemp RBI single, White sac fly, Tucker RBI single, and Fisher RBI groundout.
Stass led off the 5th inning with a solo HR, his 4th HR of the season. The Grizzlies would cap off their scoring with 3 more in the 8th on a Tucker RBI groundout and a Fisher 2 run HR, his 16th of the season. The 16 HR is tied for the Astros organization lead with JD Davis. West tossed a scoreless 9th with 2 strikeouts to close it.
Note: Tucker has 14 RBI over his last 10 games.

AA: Corpus Christi Hooks (30-29) won 11-6 (BOX SCORE)
Nice win for the Hooks. After falling behind 2-0, Corpus would get 3 runs in the 2nd inning on a run scoring on a wild pitch and 2 more runs scoring on a Ritchie 2 run single. Sneed was on the mound but got roughed up a bit allowing 6 runs over 4.1 innings of work. His season ERA is now 5.69.
Corpus Christi would respond in a big way getting 5 runs in the 4th on a bases loaded walk to Tucker and a Davis grand slam, his 15th HR of the season. The Corpus added some insurance in the 7th. Davis connected on another HR, his 2nd of the game and 16th of the season. Later in the inning, Martin hit 2 run HR to cap the scoring. Dykxhoorn was solid in relief tossing 3.1 scoreless innings.

A+: Buies Creek Astros (32-28) lost 4-3 (BOX SCORE)
Tough loss in an extra inning affair for Buies Creek. Alcala got the start and went 4 innings allowing 2 runs, 1 earned, but walked 6. Buies Creek was down 2-0 going into the 6th inning but they got 1 run back on a Rogers sac fly. In the 7th inning, they got 2 more runs on a Straw 2 run triple to take a 3-2 lead. Wilmington battled back in the 9th getting an unearned run off of Quiala. The game would stay tied at 3 all the way until the 15th when Wilmington got a run and walked it off. Hernandez tossed 3 scoreless innings in relief.

Hunt got the start for the River Bandits last night going 4 innings allowing 4 runs, 3 earned. After falling behind 1-0, Quad Cities rallied for 2 runs on an RBI triple from Arauz and an RBI double from Cameron. They would get another run in the 4th on an Almonte RBI single. Unfortunately, the pitching struggled though with Hill giving up 3 runs in 1.1 innings and Williams allowing an unearned run.
