Astros Minor League Recap: June 20th, 2017
Another day of baseball in the books. See how the teams and prospects performed in their games last night.
AAA: Fresno Grizzlies (35-37) lost 11-7 (BOX SCORE)
Tough loss in extras for Fresno. El Paso jumped out to a 4-0 lead but Fresno would start to battle back getting 2 runs in the 2nd on a Kemmer 2 run HR, his 9th HR of the season. El Paso then took a 6-2 lead and Fresno bounced back with 3 runs on a Stassi 3 run HR. Fresno entered the 8th inning down 7-5 but Moran tied the game with a 2 run HR, his 16th of the season, Smith made his second AAA start and allowed 4 runs in 4 innings, though he did have 5 strikeouts. The game went to extras and El Paso scored 4 in the 11th to win it.
Note: Moran has 7 HR, 20 RBI over his last 10 games.

Nice win for Corpus. James got the start and was very good allowing just 1 run over 5 innings with 7 strikeouts. James left the game down 1-0 but Tucker tied it shortly after with an opposite field solo HR, his 4th in AA and 13th overall. The game went into the 8th tied at one run a piece but Tucker came through with a 2 run double to make it 3-1. A Davis RBI single and Singleton 2 run HR added the insurance. Sneed pitched the final 4 innings without allowing a run.
