Astros Winter League Update: October 24th

Things are starting to pick up in the various winter league seasons.  Several Astros prospects debuted with their respective team they were assigned this week, and others continued working towards their next step.  The Arizona Fall League, Venezuelan League, and Mexican League are in full swing, now joining them is the Dominican League.  The Houston Astros organization is well represented among the different league with 16 seeing game action so far.  There are only a few weeks left in the winter seasons, so the chance to continue working and improving against some of the best talent in baseball can only be beneficial to the players and their organizations.

ARIZONA FALL LEAGUE

Glendale Desert Dogs –  This team comprised of prospects of the Houston Astros, Chicago White Sox, Los Angeles Dodgers, St. Louis Cardinals, and the Washington Nationals.  Their current record at the end of play on Sunday is 3-8 which is third in the West Division, six games behind the Peoria Javelinas.
